What Is PA Virtual?

PA Virtual Charter School is a free public PA cyber school of choice chartered and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in 2001. The Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School serves approximately 3000 students throughout Pennsylvania from Kindergarten through 12th grade in a home-based setting. In July 2011, the Pennsylvania Department of Education renewed the school’s charter for five more years.

PA Virtual is an award-winning, innovative, fully-accredited online school in PA that provides K-12 home-based public education.

The PA Virtual Art blog is written and maintained by student editors, art students, and the high school art teacher, Ms. Lucas. It includes PA Virtual Featured Artists, Weekly Art inspirations from around the world, and information on the activities that we do in class and on Friday outings.

Galleries

The beautiful pieces of art in the Art galleries on this website were created by PAVCS high school students. These students complete their artwork at home using virtual education and video lessons. The galleries are divided by the different art elective courses and extra curricular activities that PA Virtual offers, including Fine Art Class, Drawing and Design Class, Independent Study, The Art Colony ( Art Club) and Friday Outings. The gallery items are displayed on this website with the students’ permission.
